Backup Agent - Service updates

Objective

Learn about the periodic updates of Backup Agent and their impact on your services.

Requirements

• At least one Bare Metal server with the Backup Agent installed on it. Read our guide "How to configure your first backup" for more information.

Instructions

Updates are offered periodically by Veeam.

As a service provider, we will ensure that we offer updates as soon as they are available.

To do this, we will send you communications by email to inform you that an update must be made, and that it will be done on a certain date and time slot.

In practice, when the update is triggered, your agent will be silently reinstalled on your Operating System, without any necessary action on your part.

During this update, backup and restore operations will be temporarily unavailable. To minimize any impact, the update will be scheduled during daytime hours in either the CET or EST time zone, depending on your location, to avoid interfering with your automatic backups.
