Zimbra - How to configure your email account on the Zimbra mobile app

Objective

Zimbra email accounts can be configured on different email clients that are compatible. This allows you to use your email account from the device of your choice. The Zimbra app is available for free on Android and iOS.

Requirements

  • A Zimbra email account
  • The Zimbra app installed on Android or iOS
  • Login details for the email account you would like to configure

Instructions

Configuring your email account

Follow the installation steps by clicking on the tabs below:

When you first launch the application, the window below appears. Enter the URL of the OVHcloud Zimbra server https://zimbra1.mail.ovh.net and press Continue to confirm.

Enter your Zimbra email address and the associated password, then press Login.

You now have access to the content of your email account. By default, your inbox appears.

Use the email account

Once you have configured your email account, you can start using it! You can now send and receive messages.

OVHcloud also offers a web application that can be used to access your email account from a web browser. You can access it via this link. You can log in using your email credentials. If you have any questions on how to use it, please read our guide on Using Zimbra webmail.

View another Zimbra email account

The Zimbra app only allows you to configure one email account at a time. For this reason, you will need to log out of the email account you are currently using, in order to view another Zimbra email account.

Go to the menu in the upper left corner of your screen, then select the profile icon at the top of your screen. Finally, press Disconnect.

What if a blank screen appears when I launch the application?

This is a network connectivity load fault. We recommend waiting a few moments for the application to finish attempting to connect.

If nothing happens, check that your mobile network connectivity is correct, then close the application completely and restart it. Repeat as necessary.

If the problem persists, reinstall the application. This will reset the settings and eliminate potential corruption in the application configuration file.
